System Engineer - DeltaV

I am closely partnered with a Systems Integrator looking to expand their team in California by bringing on talented and driven individuals to work with their customers in the Life Sciences Industry.
In this position, you will collaborate directly with the clients to define functional needs and design, develop, configure, commission, and qualify various software programs and automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with your team and the clients to provide cutting edge Control Systems with an overall goal to increase effectiveness, product quality, and the productivity of process manufacturing.
- Understand automation requirements and develop innovative solutions using Emerson DeltaV.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV control systems, including developing control strategies, configuring process graphics, and implementing control logic.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including functional specifications, configuration documents, and test plans.
- Develop Electrical Panels, Control Architecture, and wiring diagrams.
- Test, troubleshoot, integrate, and validate Emerson DeltaV systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to project specifications to meet project timelines / quality standards.
- Support commissioning and startup activities, including operator training, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
- 3-10+ years of experience automation within a biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or academic or environment.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV platform, including configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
- S88 Batch Processes experience.
- Experience in designing and implementing control strategies using Emerson DeltaV.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet / IP).
Your base pay will depend on multiple factors including Automation related skills / experience, and individualized knowledge base.
