Job Description

SUMMARY :

The PHIG Project Coordinator of the PHI Center for Health Leadership and Impact (CHLI) contributes to the organization, coordination and goal execution of the Center and its workforce program, the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) & Region 9 Hub. Primary duties include project management, maintaining communication with internal PHI and external stakeholders, collaborators, as well as planning and coordination trainings and TA for multiple local and regional health departments, and developing and managing databases and engaging and networking with stakeholders. Considerable independent judgment is required of the incumbent to satisfactorily perform the job.

This is a remote, regular part-time position expected to work 50% FTE with a schedule of 20 hours / week. The incumbent must live in California, Nevada, or Arizona as the work serves those regions specifically, and is required to work during core business hours for the Pacific Time zone. The incumbent must be able to travel on an annual basis to attend meetings for up to a week at a time.

Full salary range for this position : $64,542 to $92,421 per year based on 100% FTE. The typical hiring range for this position is from $32,771 (minimum) to $39,241 (midpoint), based on 50% FTE. The starting salary is determined using a variety of factors, such as the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity consideration and budget availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :

  • Leads coordination, management, and delivery of webinar content for PHIG
  • Assists in packaging and distribution of regular monthly (newsletter) updates to various program cohorts / lists as needed
  • Organizes and delivers content for technical assistance requests for the Public Health Infrastructure grant as relevant
  • Organizes and prepares content for presentations for PHIG meetings, meetings, TA, trainings and conferences
  • Coordinates and manages internal and external meetings, TA, trainings and conferences
  • Supports development of and regular updates to the Center's website including posting material regularly
  • Supports management and upkeep of CHLI databases and PHIG databases
  • Writes and coordinates reporting for the Public Health Infrastructure Grant
  • Assists with creating evaluation of technical assistance delivery
  • Supports essential office duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a related field providing project management, coordination and administrative functions
  • Bachelor's degree required, or substitute with four additional years of related experience
  • Other Qualifications

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to oversee and manage work plans
  • Experience in working in a governmental health department
  • Experience in newsletter and other correspondence preparation
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions following standard policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks requiring a high degree of attention to detail
  • Good diplomatic skills and ability to exercise proper discretion and judgment
