Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service & Insurance Verification Representative to join our healthcare support team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers by managing communications, verifying insurance details, and maintaining accurate documentation. • Responsibilities
• Respond to inbound calls and emails promptly and professionally, in alignment with service goals
• Provide accurate information regarding products, services, retail locations, and general inquiries
• Process orders, route calls to appropriate departments, and follow up as needed
• Document all call interactions and customer information according to standard operating procedures
• Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct insurance verification to determine patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurance, and deductibles
• Obtain pre-authorizations and submit physician orders to insurance carriers when required
• Navigate multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems to retrieve and update documentation
• Maintain accurate records in EMR systems, including authorization details and expiration dates
• Communicate trends or issues with insurance carriers to Customer Service and Management
• Ensure insurance carriers are listed in the company database; request additions when necessary
• Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines and provide alternative options to facilitate referrals
• Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail or restaurant experience accepted)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a healthcare-related role
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Background in nursing homes or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Prior experience handling inbound calls in a call center or help desk environment

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00 / hr.
