Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team in Deer Park, TX.
The ideal candidate will have significant Emerson DeltaV expertise and a Rockwell PLC (Allen Bradley) background.
This role involves providing maintenance support for control systems, leading automation projects, and serving as a subject matter expert (SME).
Responsibilities :
- Provide maintenance support for Emerson DeltaV DCS and Rockwell PLC systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Lead automation projects from concept to completion, including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for automation technologies, providing guidance and technical expertise to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with existing infrastructure and equipment.
- Utilize operator experience to ensure automation solutions meet plant and customer requirements effectively.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues in control systems promptly.
- Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in all automation-related activities.
- Travel to Corpus Christi, TX as needed (up to 20% travel), with expenses covered by the company.
Qualifications :
- 5-10 years of experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS is essential.
- Familiarity with Rockwell PLC systems, particularly Allen Bradley, is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the Chemical or Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of control system maintenance practices and methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead automation projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Operator experience in a plant environment is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
