How you'll play:

We are seeking a Director of Merchandise Pricing & Analytics who will be responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies to optimize sales and profit goals. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team within a fast-moving environment. You will conduct market research using various industry tools, develop pricing models, monitor industry and categorical trends, and ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with brand and company financial strategies. An ideal candidate will be a collaborative and strategic leadership partner with strong analytical, problem-solving, consultative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set strategic vision while also executing detailed analysis and testing protocols.

  • Analyze and understand industry market trends, competitor tactics and offerings, products, margin opportunities and communicate to leadership and product team
  • Develop pricing strategy, structure, guidance and governance for strategic product launches and existing offering
  • Use analytic tools to develop pricing models, dashboards, trend reporting, profitability, and margin analysis
  • Build analytical insight across customer segments, products, and markets to find the right balance of pricing and promotion that optimizes profit and customer engagement
  • Lead the standardization of best practice processes, procedures, and templates related to product pricing
  • Drive pricing and promo analysis tracking, determine implications for the business and communicate findings across the organization
  • Coordinate cross-functionally across product, merchandising, finance, inventory management and marketing
  • Drive all merchandising analytics, and partner with merchandising team on ad-hoc analysis to drive increased product engagement and profitability

This position has an annual base salary range of $145,000 - $175,000. This listed base salary range is a good faith representation of the base salary range for this position. However, location, unique skills and/or exceptional experience may result in an offer outside of the stated range.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years merchandising analytics & pricing experience in a specialty retail environment, children’s apparel strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated success at developing profitable merchandise pricing strategies
  • Thorough understanding of merchandise financial planning and key metrics
  • Highly analytical, data driven, able to develop and articulate insights to move business forward
  • Strong leadership skills, with a coaching-oriented approach to team management
  • Power user of analytic platforms (Power BI), with ability to build ad-hoc reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products for additional analysis and presentations
  • Strong listening skills, and excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills; and have demonstrated ability to communicate throughout an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of innovation and creative-problem solving
  • Effective working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to travel, both domestically and internationally
