Job description

Pyramid Consulting is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery for a nursing job in Marietta, Georgia.

Position Overview

  • Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
  • Schedule : Full-time, night shift
  • Preferred Experience : At least 1 year in Labor and Delivery
  • Special Perks : May qualify for a sign-on bonus and / or relocation assistance

    • Role and Responsibilities

  • Proactively collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, individualized patient care.​
  • Maintains nursing practice in line with Wellstar’s Professional Practice and Shared Governance Models, using evidence-based care.
  • Upholds professional standards per the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

    • Key Duties

  • Uses the full Nursing Process for patient care : assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Delivers relationship-centered, culturally competent care tailored to mothers and newborns.
  • Communicates clearly with patients and families, partnering with them in care planning, education, and updates.
  • Adheres to current clinical practice standards and fosters a respectful, inclusive team environment.
  • Supports ongoing performance improvement, participates in research and shared governance initiatives.
  • Completes all mandatory training, competency assessments, and serves as mentor and preceptor to newer nurses.
  • Participates in evidence-based protocol development, resource planning, and best practice initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Education : Associate’s degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification :

    • Valid RN license (Georgia or multi-state compact)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience : Minimum 5 years of direct patient care preferred; at least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
  • Skills :

  • Effective use of technology and basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service excellence
  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and composure in emergencies
