Student Activities Business Office Asst Director (Finance / Budgeting) at Northeastern University. This role supports the Senior Associate Director in delivering financial, accounting, and budgeting services for student organizations and units within the Student Center.

$59,425.00 / yr - $83,935.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Administration & Finance : Administer and provide financial oversight to RSA, Resident Halls, and LLC; direct and oversee financial, accounting, and budgeting services for RSA and Resident Assistant programming as outlined in the RAF Manual.
- Audits : Reconcile monthly RSA and Resident Hall QuickBooks / e-RezLife activity to Banner; verify monthly expenses comply with internal auditing regulations; record RAF fee distributions; evaluate semester budgets for RSA, NRHH, and Resident Halls; distribute monthly financial statements to Residence Directors.
- RAF Review Committee : Chair the RAF Review Committee; update the RAF Manual; conduct workshops on RAF policies and procedures; ensure compliance with RAF Manual and SABO policies; meet weekly with RSA programming and financial e-board members; administer eRezLife software for Res-Life reporting; assist RSA and Resident Halls as needed.
- Co-Budget Advisor : Serve as Co-Budget Advisor to SGA Finance Board and Graduate Student Government; attend monthly budget meetings and report outcomes; perform monthly reconciliation of SAF and GSG funding allocations.
- Customer service and transactions : Provide day-to-day financial, accounting, budgeting, and student services for 1000+ accounts across 500+ student organizations and units; review and authorize transactions for compliance; ensure expenditures are within budget and properly posted; promote sound business practices; advise customers on financial matter and policies; assist with hiring student staff; support Accounts Payable and special projects; manage new fund requests and facilitate creation of student organization ecommerce accounts with campus partners.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and / or finance plus 2–3 years of financial / accounting experience.Working knowledge of general ledger and automated accounting applications (Banner, Excel, QuickBooks, e-RezLife) and data processing (Word).Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and produce professional reports.Self-motivated with ability to handle diverse tasks and collaborate effectively.Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and analytical skills.Position type
