This Senior Electrical Engineer leads complex building-systems projects from concept through completion, guiding multi-discipline teams, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of MEP design experience, strong project management skills, and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
Position Overview
This role oversees the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects—from detailed design to client coordination to construction-phase support. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, documentation, and quality control while serving as a technical leader for both the team and the client.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical engineering projects from inception through construction completion.
Manage and coordinate multi-discipline teams across all project phases.
Prepare proposals, technical reports, and project documentation.
Develop electrical system designs for commercial facilities, including:
Branch circuit distribution
Lighting and lighting controls
Fire alarm systems
Low-voltage system coordination
Perform engineering calculations to ensure system performance and compliance.
Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Chair design and construction meetings to maintain project alignment.
Support business development initiatives with the Marketing Director.
Handle additional assigned duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of recent electrical engineering design experience within an architectural, engineering, or MEP firm.
Proven project management experience, including schedule and budget oversight.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead and coordinate multiple concurrent project assignments.
Demonstrated success building and maintaining client relationships.
Exceptional planning, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Revit
Bluebeam
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
LEED accreditation.
Experience influencing senior-level leadership and stakeholders.
Business development experience or aptitude for client-facing growth activities
