Facilitate the health and fitness of olderadults; instruct group exercise classes; provide a broad range of physicaleducation and recreation activities designed to enhance the quality of life ofolder adults and maintain records of senior participants.

- Instruct participants in various group exercise classes such as floor aerobics, resistance training or water exercise.
- Plan, prepare and implement fitness exercise routines for older adults; monitor participants and demonstrate exercises in a correct and safe manner.
- Prepare facility for exercise classes; set up music, chairs, weights, bands, exercise mats, and perform safety check of facility and equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the components of a group exercise class, music tempo (beats per minute), cueing, and instructing proper technique.
- Attend in house services and group exercise staff meetings. Keep supervisor informed of class status or problems as they may arise.
- Work directly with volunteers and coordinators to manage special events and volunteers.
- Maintain records of participants including attendance and volunteer hours. Complete monthly reports on time.
- Attend senior affairs training sessions; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of senior fitness and wellness.
- Maintain current and up-to-date / AED / First Aid.
- Assist in the training of new staff and volunteer staff; assist in special events.
- Promote health and fitness activities; distribute marketing material including posters and flyers.
