Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Founded in 1972, Alpine Roofing, a Tecta America Company, has been an industry-leading commercial contractor in the greater Reno, northern Nevada, and northern California regions. With roots dating back to 1930, Alpine specializes in new construction, re-roofing, and service & maintenance for commercial properties.

We are actively seeking a Superintendent for our Sparks, NV office.

The Superintendent coordinates all field efforts, manages Crew Leaders, and oversees job progress to ensure schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met. Works closely with the Project Manager to plan labor and materials, including coordination with other departments. Maintains regular communication with the Project Manager and ensures Foremen have the information they need.

Job Functions :

• Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and commercial roofing jobs
• Attend and participate in Pre-construction meetings
• Read and understand field books with various construction job scopes of work, plans and specifications to be able to properly plan out jobs and perform work accordingly within schedules and budgets
• Establish lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, Field Personnel, Etc.) before, during and after job completion
• Instructs the best practices for roofing production by fully participating in on the job training as well as periodic manufacturer training.
• Trains employees on safety procedures and safety equipment.
• Teaches terminology of roofing materials, tools, and equipment and proper use.
• Plans, administrates, and participates as instructor in company sponsored education programs for new hires and developing roof technicians.
• Recruits, trains, mentors, and retains a dependable and knowledgeable field personnel
• Ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient and most cost effective manner

Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

Minimum Salary - 90k (Depending on experience)
