Part Time Registered Nursing Clinical Instructor
Position Summary :
JCCC is seeking part-time registered nursing clinical instructors for the fall 2024 semester, to teach in an KC area hospital one day / week.
Clinical areas are varied, including medical / surgical, cardiac care, and possibly obstetrics and pediatrics.
Required Qualifications :
Ability to work closely with students, collaborating with staff nurses, to ensure a quality, hands-on learning experience in the acute care hospital setting.
This role requires supervision of students and excellent communication skills both verbal and in completing weekly evaluations and a summative evaluation at the end of the term.
Part-time clinical instructors will be paired with a full-time faculty mentor and point of contact within the course they are assigned to teach.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior teaching experience in pre-licensure nursing education preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to provide constructive feedback to foster growth in clinical development.
- Competent with use of technology, including the electronic health record at assigned clinical facility, Microsoft and Google for completing on-line student evaluations.
