Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Bowling Green, Kentucky (zip 42104) – Kentucky nursing jobs

Unit : Telemetry (TRISTAR DIVISION)

Number of Beds : 36-bed telemetry unit

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,440 - $1,550 per week

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Scheduling : Every other weekend required

Staffing : Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on day / night shifts, Unit Clerks on day shift

Documentation System : Meditech electronic health records

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Kentucky or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required

Advanced clinical skills : chest tube management and dysrhythmia recognition

Experience with remote telemetry monitors and Alaris infusion pumps preferred

Ability to float to Orthopedic and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units as needed

Strong commitment to patient satisfaction and quality care

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry unit (4 : 1 patient ratio, up to 7 : 1 at peak)

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient status

Assist with clinical procedures such as chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis

Document patient care and assessments using Meditech EHR

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Float to Ortho / Med-Surg units per hospital policy

Adhere to telemetry monitoring and stroke protocols

Maintain professional appearance (any scrubs except camo)
