Journeyman/Heavy Duty Technician
City Toyota is adding to our team! We are looking to hire Journeyman / Heavy Duty Technicians for our high-volume service department.
You will be involved in both servicing and repairing Toyota vehicles up to Toyota’s standards.
Journeyman / Heavy duty technicians will bring their own tools.
Willing to hire non-Toyota Master Technicians / Journeyman Technicians.
The Journeyman / Heavy Duty Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.
Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $40.00 and $55.00

Responsibilities
- Perform all maintenance and diagnostic work following the Fix it right the first time repair protocol
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Inspect all vehicle repairs and maintenance prior to delivering to customer
- Communicate your recommendations to the service advisor clearly to ensure that customers are well-informed of any additional services or repairs
- Clearly document all work done, as well as any necessary recommendations
- Be willing to pursue further education and training as the industry changes
- Participate in required Company and equipment training
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have your own tools
- At least 8 years of relative experience
- Valid driver's license and DMV record in good standing
- Thorough, self-motivated, organized, clean, and require minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, reading, writing and computer proficient
- Proficient knowledge regarding; Diagnosis and repairs
- ASE certifications are a plus!
- CDK experience is a plus!
