Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Indianapolis, IN 46256 (Indiana nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Level 3 LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Unit Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 29 / 2025 – End : 12 / 29 / 2025) Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2090-$2140 Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd weekend Holiday Coverage : Required On-call : Not required Floating : Rarely; may float to NICU as clinical support Scrub Color : Seal Blue Parking : Free onsite parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted) Ability to independently circulate own C-section cases Must reside at least 50 miles from any CHN facility (local candidates not accepted) Proficient with Epic electronic charting Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted) Required certifications : BLS, NRP Preferred certifications : AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Willingness to float within scope of clinical experience 2 professional references preferred Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to laboring and high-risk / antepartum patients Assist with vaginal deliveries and independently circulate for Cesarean sections Triage obstetric patients and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Initiate and maintain IVs, administer medications, and monitor patient status Utilize external fetal monitoring and adhere to isolation precautions / PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, etc.) Support a daily census of approximately 41 mothers and 32 newborns Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EHR Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend coverage Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding locum tenens Labor & Delivery RN job in Indianapolis, Indiana.
