Director of Underwriting

A company is looking for a Director of Underwriting to lead and manage the underwriting team and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor underwriting managers while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Monitor production goals and analyze underwriting performance metrics

Manage process flows and vendor interactions to resolve escalated issues and improve efficiency

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

8+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or comparable financial services

Minimum of 5 years in a management role within a mortgage production environment

Lending authority up to $2MM

Knowledge of mortgage products and regulatory compliance
