We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Education space in Charlotte, NC. The role involves functioning as a Payroll Coordinator, where you will be primarily responsible for processing payroll for our employees, auditing extra pays, and acting as a point of contact for employee benefits enrollment.
This role also involves some payroll tax duties and is heavily data entry driven.
Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary processor for payrolls, handling various cycles efficiently
- Conduct audits for extra pays and ensure accuracy in the payroll process
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits, assisting with enrollment as needed
- Perform manual payroll processes and handle some aspects of payroll tax
- Maintain accurate records of all payroll-related data and transactions
- Utilize ADP for payroll processing and other in-house systems effectively
- Perform data entry tasks as required for the role, maintaining accuracy and efficiency at all times
- Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues that arise, ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Clerk or similar role within the education industry
- Proficient in payroll software, specifically In-House Payroll and ADP - Payroll
- Demonstrable experience in benefits administration
- Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional numerical skills and ability to handle large volumes of data
- Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, with excellent multitasking and prioritizing abilities
- Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
