POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Hospitality Audit Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct detailed audits of our financial records, operational processes, and internal controls within the hospitality department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :

  • Develop audit plans and schedules in coordination with the audit manager
  • Conduct comprehensive financial and operational audits of hospitality facilities, including hotels, restaurants, and event venues
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, revenue, expenses, and inventory records
  • Evaluate internal controls and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Analyze financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to identify irregularities or discrepancies
  • Utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of risk
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans
  • Communicate audit results to senior management and department heads
  • Maintain organized and well-documented audit files for reference and review
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, auditing standards, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment with high call volume

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
