UNC Hospitals | New to OR Program Hiring Event

November 6, 2025 | 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Are you a new graduate or experienced RN looking to transition into the Operating Room?

New to OR Program is a 6-month structured curriculum utilizing AORN's PeriOp 101 to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in perioperative nursing.

What to Expect :

• Didactic classroom instruction at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill
• Simulation labs to develop hands-on skills
• Clinical preceptorship at your home facility
• Extensive training in the first 10 weeks, followed by rotations through multiple specialty services
• Experience in circulating and / or scrub roles (varies by location)
• Specialty team assignments based on preference and team evaluation

Throughout the program, participants will engage in modules, evaluations, homework, and a final exam to ensure clinical excellence. You'll work alongside a team of passionate OR professionals handling complex surgical cases and utilizing leading patient care models.
