About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department setting

License : Current RN License in the state

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA only; TNCC and NIHSS preferred

Must-Have : 1 year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 or 2 facility

Description :

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.

Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Performs duties in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and service standards.

Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.

Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice.

Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required.

Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility.

Stands and walks most of the time on duty.

Lifts and pushes patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.

Typically works in a clean, air-conditioned area.

Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
