KDG is seeking a Marketing Pursuit Manager to lead the strategic direction and partner with the technical team to develop winning strategies for compelling proposals and presentations for various aviation, utilities, and transportation programs.
Will develop responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from opportunity assessment to proposal submittal.
The Marketing Pursuit Manager will be responsible for leading the efforts on technical writing, proposal drafting and proposal submittal.
This role partners cross-functionally with business development, technical specialists, and the finance department to deliver a well-rounded proposal.
The ideal candidate will be someone with strong communications skills who thrives in a team atmosphere and has experience in the A / E / C industry.
This position operates % onsite and requires in-person work at our Glendale, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Proposal Management
- Provide strategic direction / guidance to pursuit team in developing strategies for responding to, preparing materials, and developing proposals in response to RFQs, RFPs and SOQs.
- Manage the program and project pursuit life cycle, including being responsible for planning, controlling, directing, and executing all activities from opportunity assessment to proposal submittal.
- Create and maintain the proposal schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
- Lead the development of the proposal narrative that tells a good story, supported by strong technical examples and write-ups.
- In collaboration with technical staff, write / review / edit original content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
- Lead writing and graphics generation to achieve pursuit objectives and meet deadlines, performing quality and compliance reviews.
- Write persuasively and edit text to create compelling and grammatically correct copy for proposals and branding materials, improving proposal organization, readability, completeness, and clarity.
- Lead the development, preparation, coordination, and execution of presentations.
Marketing / Business Development
- Attend pre-proposal meetings, board meetings, industry events, and conferences as an extension of the Business Development team
- Produce dynamic creative assets including PowerPoint presentation slides, one sheets, flyers, email blasts, and company newsletters
- Partner with Business Development team to track market developments, create strategies, implement teaming plans, and maintain partner relations.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field from an accredited institution and 5+ years related experience in proposal generation for a construction, engineering, or design firm.
- Preferred candidates will have 5-10 years of related experience in the AEC industry.
- Experience working in public agency with multi-year professional service contracts is a PLUS.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a MUST.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret information from multiple sources and translate it into a creative, client-focused message is a MUST.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under tight deadlines (i.e. an understanding of proposal due dates).
Anticipated Salary Range : $85,-$,
