$45.00 / hr - $50.00 / hr

Position

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Test Engineer for a W2 contract-to-hire position with a client in the Memphis, TN area. This onsite position will be on a team focused on hardware testing, power distribution, high voltage, PLC controller, and electrical wiring.

  • No Corp-to-Corp; No C2C; No Referrals from C2C

Rate Range : $45.00 / hour to $50.00 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

  • Provide electrical systems expertise for power distribution, high-voltage systems, PLC controllers, and electrical wiring, with a strong understanding of Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) to support product development and testing.
  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and cases to validate product functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on test engineering support to production lines, rapidly troubleshooting equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Lead a team of test engineers and technicians, offering technical guidance, training, and mentorship to foster skill development and team growth.
  • Design and maintain automated test scripts and software tools using Python, C / C++, LabVIEW, and other platforms to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Support Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to address DFx feedback, resolve product issues, and support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts.
  • Identify and help lead initiatives for process optimization and test system enhancements, applying Lean and Kaizen methodologies to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects, ensuring timely delivery of all engineering and testing milestones.
  • Utilize analytical tools to interpret test data, monitor key metrics (e.g., yield, first-pass yield, downtime), and deliver actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate technical findings, risk assessments, and project updates to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, power distribution systems, high-voltage equipment, PLC controllers, and electrical wiring
  • Experience with hardware testing
  • At least 1 year of team lead, team management, or supervisory experience
