Prestonwood Country Club , a premier establishment in Cary, NC has an opening for an experienced Pastry Cook. Come and join our exceptional, award winning pastry team! We are offering a competitive wage of $20 per hour plus benefits.

Pastry Cook Job Specifications :

• Assist the Executive Pastry Chef with daily production of various desserts, pastry cream, buttercream, dough, sauces, mousses, fillings, sponges and various breads.
• Follow recipes to maintain consistency and quality with all bakery and pastry products.
• Be knowledgeable of various cooking methods and operation of basic kitchen equipment.
• Prior scratch baking and cake decorating experience.
• Be able to work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Must have flexible availability to work holidays & weekends as needed.
• Typical shift hours : 1 : 00pm 9 : 00pm (Tues.-Thurs.), 2 : 00pm-10pm (Fri.-Sat.), however shift hours may vary depending on business needs and events booked (40 hour week).
• Be able to lift 10-20 pounds of boxed food and kitchen products.
• Maintain sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Pastry Cook.
• 2 year Culinary Degree preferred
