Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SDET with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and Azure DevOps. You will build and maintain robust UI automation for React-based applications, target a 99% reliability rate, and drive end-to-end deployment validation through structured sign-offs, automation results analysis, and proactive follow-up to closure.

Key Responsibilities

UI Test Automation

  • Develop and maintain reliable UI automation using Playwright and TypeScript for React-based applications.
  • Understand existing automation frameworks and propose enhancements for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Continuously improve the automation framework and test ecosystem to increase efficiency and reliability.

Pipeline Integration and Execution

  • Integrate automation with Azure DevOps pipelines for periodic and on-demand test execution.
  • Configure and maintain YAML-based pipelines and automation workflows.
  • Build, test, and run suites as part of CI and CD to enable high-confidence releases.
  • Results Analysis and Test Health

  • Analyze automation results from pipeline runs, promptly investigate failures, and raise pull requests to fix issues to maintain overall test stability.
  • Proactively monitor test health and maintain a 99% plus test pass rate across environments.
  • Assess automation coverage for existing manual test cases, identify gaps, and suggest optimizations to maximize ROI on automation.
  • Deployment Validation and Ownership

  • Validate deployments by collaborating closely with QA, Engineering, and OCE teams.
  • Provide hands-on guidance during release windows, review automation outcomes, obtain required sign-offs, and follow up issues to closure from testing through production.
  • Perform detailed analysis of automation results post-deployment, identify root causes, drive fixes, and verify successful resolution.
  • Proactively address deployment challenges by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure swift and effective resolution.
  • Collaboration and Documentation

  • Partner with engineering, QA, and operational teams to plan test strategy, align on quality gates, and ensure stable releases.
  • Document framework changes, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to support repeatable operations.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience developing UI automation with Playwright.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
  • Familiarity with ReactJS as the product under test.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI and CD pipeline integration and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of YAML for pipeline configuration and automation workflow setup.
  • Ability to analyse test results, troubleshoot failures, and maintain high test stability through timely updates and fixes.
  • Experience proposing framework enhancements to improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Compensation / Salary Range

    The typical pay for this role across the U.S. is USD 70,000 yearly to USD 90,000 yearly. Factors that may affect pay within or outside of this range may include but are not limited to geography or market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
