About the Role
The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include performing fiduciary transactions, assisting with monthly closing processes, and maintaining carrier, association and billing documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Prepare and review disbursements, billing statements, and accounting reports, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Analyze and maintain client and insured records while identifying and resolving discrepancies.Conduct variance and trend analyses on key accounts and financial reports to support business decisions.Process disbursements for clients or insureds with a high level of accuracy and compliance.Support the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.Assist with month-end close processing.Provide support during internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with corporate and SOX standards.Respond promptly to inquiries from stakeholders across multiple lines of business.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process efficiencies.Perform cash and system reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.Other duties as assigned.Requirements :
1- 2 years of experience in Accounting preferred.Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Proficiency with MS Office Suite.Strong attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with clients and accounts.AMBA is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
