Healthcare Setting : Main Hospital – Operating Room (OR)

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : January 26, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule Options : 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available based on unit needs

Unit Size : 343 beds

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 in the Operating Room

EMR System : Meditech

Dress Code : Hospital-laundered scrubs provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or compact state (required)

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred; new graduate RNs are encouraged to apply

BLS certification (required)

Surgical or procedural nursing experience is a plus

Strong communication and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, maintaining a 1 : 1 patient-to-nurse ratio

Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures : abdominal, breast, cardiovascular, colon / rectal, dental, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological, joint replacement, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral / maxillofacial, orthopedic, sports medicine, robotics, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive, spine, thoracic, trauma, urological, and vascular surgeries

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic medical record system

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Engage in ongoing professional development and training
