Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator (SCA) for a position in Orlando, FL to support an Air Dominance Strike Weapons Special Program.
This role will be partnered with a Subcontract Management (SCM) team member and will be responsible to support the Subcontractor in all aspects of cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance primarily in a production environment.
This role will support facilitation activities to increase subcontractor capacity and support process & test time reduction activities to reduce subcontractor lead time.
It will also support affordability idea generation and implementation to meet program cost targets, support new business pursuits to expand the program customer base, and stand up production-type metrics to manage subcontractor performance.
Subcontract Administrator duties include :
- Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, -and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types.
- Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts.
- Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
- Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.
- Works with Program Management and Subcontract Management Team for timely conclusion of contract matters and resolution of issues.
- Facilitates multiple regular and / or standalone meetings to drive decision making and action item closures.
This position will require travel to the subcontractor site.
This position requires the ability to work on-site two days per week with Tuesday as a scheduled on-site day. The selected candidate will need the flexibility to work on-site more than two days per week, depending on program needs.
Desired skills
- Working knowledge of acquisition policies with associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR / LMAP requirements
- Experience with supply chain activities to include procurement systems, production schedules, and IPT structures
- Hard worker with a positive attitude and a high willingness to learn in a hybrid role
- Cross-functional knowledge of supplier quality, finance and engineering as they relate to subcontract management
