Medical Laboratory Technologist

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record maintenance according to laboratory procedures.
• Conduct testing using approved methodologies and release results in an accurate and timely manner.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all laboratory safety guidelines.
• Document quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues that may impact test performance, escalating to senior staff when needed.
• Report STAT and critical results following departmental protocols.
• Maintain testing records, reagent documentation, and overall department organization.
• Participate in training, department meetings, and regulatory inspections when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications :

• BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, OR
• Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 (as of March 14, 1990).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred (high-complexity testing).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
