CNA Requirements :
- CNAs work at the direction of the Director of Nursing according to scheduled duties.
- CNAs meet resident's needs by assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulating, and feeding.
- Participate in planned in-services and on-going educational training.
- Clean specific common areas as needed.
- Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to the Director of Nursing or the nurse on duty for an emergency.
- Answer call lights / pendant alarms promptly.
- Keep residents' rooms clean and safe.
- CNAs assist or provide tray service to room.
- CNAs assist or provide supervision for residents performing the following activities of daily living (ADL's)

Oral hygieneBathingDressingAmbulatingToiletingCNAs change bed linens on laundry / housekeeping day and d o laundry per laundry scheduleAssist in orienting residents to new surroundingsAssist with self-administration of medication when neededAssist with activitiesAttend care conferences when neededEncourage to exercise resident's rightsPromote loyalty to Briarfield Place among staff, visitors, inquiries by supporting policies and proceduresPerform other related duties as assignedWill check resident's pendants to assure they are intact and workingPerform post mortem care, when neededCNA Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in the State of OhioHaving successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.Must be in good physical and mental health.Ability to work independently or part of a group.Effectively communicate with others, have an upbeat, positive attitude and love caring for the elderly.Experience with PointClick Care, preferred but not required.Pre-employment requirements :
