Proposal Development Specialist

The Proposal Development Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination, and timely response to RFPs and RFIs in support of local, mid-market and national sales objectives for current and prospective customers of various sizes and across all lines of business (including medical, Medicare, prescription drug, and specialty lines). Responsibilities include :

• Fully accountable for the entire proposal development process and has overall responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of our response.
• Engage with Sales and stakeholders in a consultative manner to define and ensure our messaging needs are clear.
• Facilitates strategy meetings to ensure that corporate and group specific strategy is reflected in our proposal.
• Additional responsibilities include responding to proposal follow-up, completing ad-hoc requests, participating in project initiatives, and backing up our team with Utilization review support as needed.

Qualifications :

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely two days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
