Developmental Editor

A company is looking for a Developmental Editor (self-publishing).

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with authors to provide constructive feedback on manuscripts at the structural and conceptual level

Utilize knowledge of narrative structure and market positioning to enhance storytelling or argument flow

Understand clients' needs and guide them through the editing process while maintaining high professional standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of professional editing experience

Experience working for a traditional publisher

Demonstrated experience editing at least 5 published books that are well-reviewed

Experience with a renowned publishing company or bestselling authors is positively valued

Relevant studies or editing certificates are a plus
