Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives returned material stock; disassembles, inspects and determines suitability of material for restocking
- Utilizes computer terminal to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials and associated back orders;
inputs essential data on all materials handled; adheres to strict accounting procedures in this regard
- Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials based upon computer-monitored suggested re-order listing; assists in conducting complete physical inventory counts.
- Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling; maintains labeling system on each stock item;
manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned
- Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results
- Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
- Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements, in an effort to proactively optimize overall location accuracy and productivity levels
- Coordinate the cycle counts to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed
- Will monitor warehouse and store transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness
- Expedites the daily flow of all special order SKUs to include labeling, locating and timely shipping
- Troubleshoots all special order problems from time of receipt
- Monitors special order returns, provides reporting and ensures quick returns
- Ensure that the unit of measure in is the same as the unit of measure out
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS ( Education, Experience, & Skills required)
Education - High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Ability
- Microsoft Excel, ERP, WMS or Distribution Systems experience required
- Follows instructions and responds to management direction.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Must be able to recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers
- Personal Attributes - Uses time efficiently, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, and has the ability to multi-task while completing work in a timely manner
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse environment, using standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, RF scanners, printers and operate forklift equipment.
