Geotechnical Engineer We still need 3 Geotechnical Engineering in St.
George, Utah and 2 in Sandy, UtaH They will relocation assistance but preferably the relocation as close to Utah as possible. Preferably west of the Mississippi. Up until now they have only been willing to consider Civil engineers but because there are not enough Civil Engineers out there, they have decided they will also look at someone with a Geology degree if they have their PE (Professional Engineering Certification). They do not want people out of mining. They want people out of construction. Our client is an extremely well regarded geotechnical engineering firm seeking dedicated individuals to join their St.
George office.
They have openings in Construction Services and Engineering departments.
Development of Professional Knowledge :
- Perform on-site testing and inspection services at various construction projects in the St.
- George area.
- Conduct structural fill compaction testing, Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining wall observations, deep foundation observations, and inspections of concrete and rebar.
- Engage in other special inspections as required.
- Collaborate closely with registered professional engineers and contractors, enhancing your understanding of the construction industry.
Leading to a professional career consisting of :
Job duties :Conducting on-site testing and inspection services, logging investigative borings, and performing in-situ geotechnical testing at construction sites throughout the St.George area.
Working under the supervision of registered professional engineers, following a professional-engineer track.Analyze soil, rock, groundwater, and other earth materials to assess their suitability for construction projects.Assist in designing foundations and other structural elements based on geotechnical finding Education Requirements :Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
