Commerce Team, Wirecutter Intern
The mission of The New York Times is to seek the truth and help people understand the world. That means independent journalism is at the heart of all we do as a company. It's why we have a world-renowned newsroom that sends journalists to report on the ground from nearly 160 countries. It's why we focus deeply on how our readers will experience our journalism, from print to audio to a world-class digital and app destination. And it's why our business strategy centers on making journalism so good that it's worth paying for.
About the Role
Each month Wirecutter helps millions of people by exhaustively researching and testing products in dozens of categories to select the very best among them for our readers. Our model is unique and incredibly powerful, and the trust we earn from our readers is core to our success.
As the Commerce Intern, you will support the Commerce team by helping to ensure we keep our guides up to date with the best buying options possible for our readers. You will also support our partnerships through outreach, identifying and showcasing the best deals, demonstrating the value of our optimization efforts to partners, and providing data support to assist in making strategic decisions. This role requires a self-starter with excellent time management skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and comfort working in a collaborative team environment in a remote setting.

About Us
Wirecutter strives to be the most trusted product recommendation service on the internet. We obsessively test and report on thousands of items each year to recommend the best of everything. Our goal is to save you time and eliminate the stress of shopping, whether you're looking for everyday gear or gifts for loved ones. We work with total editorial independence. That means nothing appears on the site as a recommendation unless our writers and editors have deemed it the best through our rigorous reporting and testing. Wirecutter was founded in September 2011 and acquired by The New York Times Company in October 2016. Wirecutter is mission driven and reader supported; learn more about us here.
