White Elephant Resorts is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join the acclaimed culinary team at TOPPER’S at The Wauwinet , a Relais & Châteaux property and one of Nantucket’s premier fine-dining destinations. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated pastry professional who delivers exceptional quality and presentation.
Responsibilities :
Prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and specialty items
Support daily production for fine dining, room service, and banquet events
Maintain strict cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
Follow recipes accurately; scale and adjust as needed
Assist with inventory, storage rotation, and minimizing waste
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team
Requirements :
2+ years pastry experience in a fine-dining environment (preferred)
Food handling certification required
Strong attention to detail and creativity
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
