Overview

The Nursing Director is responsible for ongoing leadership and operations of a clinical department and for nursing care safety and quality. The Nursing Director uses sound human resource and financial management principles and techniques to guide the provision of nursing services to patients and families. The Nursing Director supports comprehensive patient and family services through effective participation with the interdisciplinary team.

5 Sutherland is a general medical / surgical unit that cares for patients with renal failure and transplant, rehabilitation and liver failure and transplant specialties. Patients range in age from neonates to 18 years. We occasionally treat young adults and adult kidney donors who donate to child having a renal transplant.

• LIFT (Liver and Intestinal Failure and Transplant)
• General medical-surgical

Starting Pay

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
