Investment Management Associate Attorney (Tax LL.M.) – Seattle

Direct Counsel is seeking an Investment Management Associate Attorney with an LL.M. in Tax to join a prominent full-service firm in Seattle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to work with a nationally recognized team representing institutional investors—including pension funds, endowments, universities, and family offices—on complex investment transactions. The practice is cross-disciplinary and highly collaborative, offering exposure to a wide variety of traditional and alternative investments.

About the Role :

The associate will support a team known for its sophistication, collaboration, and long-term client relationships. You’ll advise clients on fund investments and formation, review and negotiate complex documents, and develop a strong understanding of business and investment structures. Mentorship and professional development are integral to the team’s culture.

What You’ll Bring :

At least 1 year of investment management, fund formation, or related transactional experience

JD from an ABA-accredited law school and LL.M. in Tax

Strong academic credentials and writing skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

The ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

A collaborative mindset and commitment to client service

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary range : $180,000 – $225,000, based on experience
