Job Description
This Superintendent position plays a critical leadership role in the success of Federal construction projects. Depending on project size and complexity, the Superintendent may oversee the entire project lifecycle or specific scopes ranging from foundation and structure through MEP systems and interior finishes. This position works as an equal partner with the Project Manager to jointly lead project performance from start to finish.
The Superintendent acts as a leader, coach, communicator, and negotiator, ensuring that the project meets expectations in safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities
Project Start Up and Turnover
- Identify pre mobilization activities with the Project Manager
- Develop the project start up schedule
- Review subcontractor and vendor scopes of work
Scheduling
Update and implement field construction schedulesEstablish and maintain the Project Baseline ScheduleEnsure that work aligns with contract requirements and client expectationsProvide regular schedule updates, including three week look ahead reportsSafety
Conduct safety pre construction meetings with all subcontractorsReview site daily to ensure compliance with OSHA, regulatory requirements, and the project specific safety planQuality Management
Insert key benchmarks into the baseline scheduleConfirm appropriate stakeholders are members of the quality teamOversee delivery inspections, benchmark inspections, and documentationEnsure inspection approvals are communicated to the project teamSubcontractor and Site Management
Manage site pre construction, staging plans, and job site utilizationMobilize and maintain the field office to required standardsReview percent complete values for subcontractor pay applicationsMaintain organized site documentation using Bluebeam RevuHold subcontractors accountable to performance, quality, and conduct standardQualifications
Minimum of five years of Federal construction experience as a Lead SuperintendentExperience managing US Army Corps of Engineers projectsProven background leading projects of $10M or more
