- Follow established nursing practices and implement facility policies.\n
- Communicate and interpret policies to licensed staff, nursing assistants, residents, families, and physicians.\n
- Obtain and provide thorough reports to ensure continuity of care during shift changes.\n
- Conduct resident rounds, direct care staff, and report any changes in resident conditions to physicians promptly.\n
- Supervise all direct resident care and prepare assignments for nursing assistants.\n
- Competently perform nursing skills, including medication administration, in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.\n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans based on findings.\n
- Document all pertinent information accurately and timely as required by regulatory agencies.\n
- Assist with the performance evaluation process of nursing staff.\n
- Ensure all emergency equipment is checked and properly maintained.\n
- Foster a communicative and cooperative work environment with all team members and disciplines.\n
- Act as a chaperone for patients during specific procedures and examinations.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Education : Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.\n
- Experience : Minimum of one year working in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred.\n
- Licensure : Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut.\n
