Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for Medical Coders to join their remote team.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately code insurance claims into the database system

Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely completion of medical record requests

Support quality improvement by collecting medical records data and performing ad hoc analysis

Required Qualifications

Must have a valid Medical Coder certification from AHIMA or AAPC

Minimum 2 years' experience in Medical Claims Coding

Expert knowledge of Medicare severity adjustment processes and tools

Familiarity with claims code editing applications and professional billing claims

Knowledge of industry standard coding rules, such as NCCI and AMA
