Maintenance Technician – Temporary (Potential for Full-Time)

Indianapolis, IN – West Side

1st Shift 6 : 00 am-2 : 30 pm

$25.00 – $29.00 per hour (based on experience)

3-Month Temporary Assignment – Possible Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the west side of Indianapolis. This is a 3-month temporary position with the potential to become a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. The ideal individual will have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive work ethic, and experience maintaining manufacturing or industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

Repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and fixtures.

Measure, cut, thread, bond, and assemble electrical conduit as needed.

Order and track spare parts and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Apply technical knowledge to repair and maintain manufacturing tools and machinery.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ensure proper management and storage of hazardous waste and complete annual training.

Support facilities and other plant functions as assigned.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance; may include occasional nights, weekends, or overtime.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks.

Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Demonstrates initiative and reliability in completing assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Experience & Background

2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Proficient in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable operating forklifts and powered equipment.

Self-directed with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Combination of education and experience will be considered.
