Job description

Job Title : Medical Sonographer

Location : Grand Junction, CO 81501

Assignment Type : 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Start Date : ASAP

Shift : 10-hour Evenings | 4 Shifts per week

Travel Pay : $2800 - $2900 / Week (Blended)

Other Locations :

  • General and Vascular Sonographer – Denver, CO | Billings, MT | Butte, MT

Summary :

Seeking an experienced Medical Sonographer to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images and will play an essential role in patient care and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures for evaluating internal organs and vessels.
  • Prepare the exam room and obtain informed consent, while reviewing patient history for accurate protocol selection.
  • Explain procedures and position patients appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Assess patient status, complete necessary diagnostic techniques, and perform interventions as needed.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and accuracy of the images.
  • Coordinate with physicians and ancillary caregivers to ensure thorough documentation and quality image preparation.
  • Communicate patient information clearly to all involved parties.
  • Maintain an organized and safe environment by monitoring equipment reliability and ensuring regular maintenance.
  • Transport patients as needed and ensure smooth hand-off between shifts.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, including patient care, patient satisfaction, and workflow optimization.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Client, adhering to service behavior standards.
