Production Supervisor - 1st Shift
Compensation : $83,000 – $92,400
About the Role :
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead and inspire a shift team while driving safety, quality, and operational excellence. This key leadership position requires strong coaching and mentoring skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to manage both people and production resources effectively. You will ensure compliance with plant safety and quality standards, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions to achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and support your team to consistently meet safety, quality, productivity, and workplace organization standards.
- Conduct Safety incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions.
- Maintain and support all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and processes.
- Oversee the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals if responsible for the Batch Room, including hazardous materials.
- Serve as a resource for product quality assurance and approvals.
- Participate in Quality Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and supplier corrective actions.
- Coach and mentor employees to support personal and professional development, including disciplinary processes when needed.
- Train full-time and temporary employees on safety, quality, and equipment operations.
- Monitor operating performance and KPIs, intervene when trends deviate, and drive recovery and sustainable improvement plans.
- Evaluate employee performance through audits and review processes.
- Collaborate with Production Scheduling to ensure achievement of the operating plan and schedule.
- Ensure accurate completion and ERP system updates of all work orders, including proper line clearance responsibilities.
Qualifications :
3-5 years of manufacturing production experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with ERP systems (Syspro, SAP, or similar).Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead a production team to meet operational expectations.Experience in chemical manufacturing, handling, storage, and disposal (including hazardous materials) is a plus.LEAN and Six Sigma certification and experience preferred.Bilingual in English / Spanish is a plus.Why Join Us :
