The Medical Biller is responsible for reviewing and submitting insurance claims, collection of insurance and patient payments, posting of insurance and patient payments and research and resolution of outstanding insurance claims and patient balances.

This includes rebilling primary, secondary and tertiary insurances, patient co-pays and deductibles. Interacts with all levels of personnel and leadership, maintains and ensures confidentiality of patient financial information.

Job qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED.
• ICD-10 billing and coding experience.
• Accounts Receivable
• 2 or more years in medical billing or experience with health insurance benefits, eligibility, and cash posting.
• Accounts Computer literate with moderate to advance skills in software applications.
• Background in the behavioral health field and experience in customer service is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and knowledge of Windows environment and / or Electronic Health Records Systems.
• Must be able to execute conflict resolution.
• Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong verbal, written, and communications skills
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive services
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Covid 19 Vaccination or Qualified Exemption (Religious or Medical)
