Travel Nursing Job Details

Healthcare Setting : Ambulatory Surgery Center (PACU)

End Date : March 14, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Shift : Day shift, Monday–Friday, 6 : 30 AM–3 : 00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2120–$2180

PACU RN Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in PACU, post-anesthesia care, or surgical nursing

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Active Illinois RN license in good standing

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

NIHSS Certification

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and IV skills

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in the PACU

Conduct patient assessments and document findings using EPIC EMR

Identify and respond to normal and abnormal patient findings, notifying physicians as needed

Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients and families

Establish IVs for patients aged 8 years and older; administer medications safely

Participate in the time-out process with operating room staff

Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation

Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards

Collaborate with healthcare colleagues and provide constructive feedback for professional growth
