Job Summary
This is a 1 year Contract Position. The Head of Operations will provide supervision and guidance to research and technical staff, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the Research and Engineering to Accelerate DiscoverY (READY) Center at QBI. The appointee will oversee program administration, development, and operational execution, translating high‑level objectives into actionable goals and measurable outcomes. The Head of Operations will exercise sound judgment within established procedures and policies to determine appropriate courses of action, identify and mitigate operational risks, and recommend enhancements to departmental practices.
In collaboration with the Center’s Director, the Head of Operations will manage resources and budgets, coordinate vendor selection and automation implementation, and direct priority setting and workflow analysis to optimize efficiency. The Head of Operations will be accountable for achieving programmatic milestones, maintaining budgetary discipline, and sustaining a high‑performing operations team capable of delivering large‑scale cellular engineering at research‑grade quality.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. The salary range for this position is $110,400 - $235,400 (Annual Rate).
