Senior Director - Network Transformation
As a Senior Director - Network Transformation, you will develop and implement Wesco's physical supply chain strategy. You will lead a cross-functional team to design and support the execution of our physical network strategy across the Wesco global footprint. By using a combination of forecast data, analytics tools, and market analysis, you will drive improvement and facilitate growth throughout the extensive supply chain network. You will develop and drive supply chain optimization and future network design best practices for the operations group while collaborating with leadership and other stakeholders / business partners.
Responsibilities include :
- Leading design of the overall supply chain strategy using a combination of market data, modeling efforts, and collaborative dialogue to create a sustainable network that will grow with the organization.
- Analyzing network optimization models to support various business scenarios factoring in fixed / variable facility, transportation, and inventory costs; various supply chain constraints (capacity, productivity, etc.); service level requirements; future long-term plans for growth / shifts in business and capital requirements.
- Working with commercial leaders to ensure alignment with data and market analysis to produce a comprehensive facility strategy.
- Developing and communicating strategies, tactics, project plans, and timelines to key stakeholders.
- Acting as a coach and mentor to support career development plans of a cross-functional team to build a robust discipline in supply chain optimization.
- Partnering / collaboratively with other leaders across the supply chain and business to identify new opportunities to drive supply chain improvements.
- Serving as a strategic leader within the Operations group and having rapport with senior leaders to achieve departmental objectives.
- Communicating verbally and in writing to leadership and stakeholders with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations.
- Suggesting the data, information, reporting, and analytical needs to support project goals for the supply chain group.
- Incorporating, refining, and adapting industry supply chain best practices to ensure a comprehensive approach to network design.
- Ensuring the department implements and utilizes the industry best practices and technology required to provide insights, analysis, and modeling for the company.
Qualifications include :
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.10+ years relevant work experience.Hands-on modeling experience applying data source to facility network design.Experience with preparing and presenting oral and written presentations to leadership and stakeholders across the business.Communication ability to pass messages using different channels (verbal and written).Facilitating ability to organize and facilitate multidisciplinary teams through structured workshops (strategic sessions, Kaizens, problem solving sessions).Change Management ability to communicate a need for change, create all necessary conditions for successful change and overcome different forms of resistance.Ability to travel 25% - 50%.At Wesco, we build, connect, power, and protect the world.
