Overview Director hire for the Editor, Digital News Media role at Profiles , NYC. This is a full-time position onsite 3 days a week. Ability to work 1 weekend day each week and holidays when needed.

Base pay range $75,000.00 / yr - $90,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities Write sharp, attention-grabbing headlines for the news channel website.

Quickly publish breaking news to social channels with accuracy and clarity.

Leverage digital publishing tools to distribute content across platforms efficiently.

Use editorial instincts and performance metrics to determine homepage story placement.

Test headlines and images to maximize engagement and optimize performance.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 4 years of experience in a digital newsroom environment.

Must have experience with social media.

Experience meeting tight deadlines at a major news organization.

Excellent news judgment and strong understanding of current affairs.

Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to work independently.
