Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Yuma, Arizona (zip 85364)

Healthcare Setting : PCU Cardiac / Intermediate Care – Stepdown Unit

Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend days per month

Holiday Requirement : 3 out of 5 holidays

Dress Code : Navy Blue scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (required for Arizona healthcare jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing

Previous travel nursing assignment completed (no first-time travelers)

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX)

Proficient in titrating cardiac drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitro, insulin)

Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred : Experience caring for TAVR and CABG patients

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and intermediate care patients, including CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacer, TAVR, CABG, and PCU overflow

Monitor, titrate, and manage cardiac drips as ordered

Interpret and respond to telemetry readings for cardiac patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and respiratory therapists

Float to ICU and medical-surgical units as needed

Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system

Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards
