Job Details

  • Position / Specialty : Med Surg Neuro RN
  • Shift : 4x12 or 3x12s Days (1800-0630)
  • Avg. Daily Census : 32
  • Years of experience REQ : Minimum 1 years' experience required.
  • First-timers accepted : No
  • Weekend REQ : Will work every other weekend
  • Is on-call REQ? No
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
  • Locals accepted : Yes- no radius.
  • Must have active IL license in hand to apply.
  • RTO Restrictions : Ideally no more than 5 days.

  • Must have active IL license in hand to apply.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience required.
  • Required Work Setting Experience : Med / Surg.
  • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills / Experience : Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
  • Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills / Experience : Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management.
  • Required IV therapy / Phlebotomy Skills / Experience : Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
  • Required Medication Experience : Heparin, Insulin, PCA.
  • Required Neurological / Psychiatric Case Skills / Experience : CVA, Pre / Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury.
  • Experience with Surgical drains required.
  • Required Respiratory Case Skills / Experience : Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, CPAP / BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre / Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management.
  • Required Professional Knowledge and Skills : Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac.
  • Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required.
  • Cerner experience required.
