About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)

Experience : 2 Years Required

License : Active State License Required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

  • 2 Years Experience Required
  • Previous Charge and Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred
  • First-timers Accepted

Description :

Position : Registered Nurse in PCU.

Ratios : 1 : 5.

Will float across various units to meet facility needs.

Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be required as needed.

Weekend Requirement : 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday / Saturday / Sunday.

Skills Required :

  • Work in MS / Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown.
  • Cardiovascular care including Post Cardiac, Angiogram, Post MI, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Pre / Post Cardiac Surgery.
  • IV insulin protocols under Endocrine / Metabolic.
  • Feeding tube care and management under Gastrointestinal.
  • Pre / Post Hemodialysis management under Genitourinary / Renal.
  • Blood Product Administration and Central Line care under IV therapy / Phlebotomy.
  • Management of Cardiac drips and PCA under Medications.
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management under Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response.
  • Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration under Respiratory.
  • Wound Care and Isolation Precautions under Professional Topics and Skills.

    • Skills Preferred :

  • Accessing and Managing Ports.
  • Monitoring Chemotherapy.

    • Patient Age Groups : Adults, Geriatrics.

    Daily Census : 31.

    Patient Ratios for Days, Nights, and Weekends : 5.

    Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.

    Two references are required, one from a supervisor level or above, the second can be from a Charge RN.

    All references must be from the past year.

    Laboratory tests must be completed within 48–72 hours of signing.

    Pre-start modules are non-billable and taken prior to the start date.
